Tooth clutches are gaining importance in contemporary engineering applications. They transmit high torque loads and allow for the complete disengagement of drive transmissions. The scale of applications extends from speed range selection in machine tools to heavy-duty drives. Newly developed, backlash-free tooth clutches allow for the positioning of revolving tables, turrets, inking cylinders and other machine components by means of NC-control.
Available in a variety of designs, types and sizes, multi-disc clutches lend themselves to a wide range of power transmission applications. The program includes maintenance-free clutches as well as clutches for actuating cycle control and feed motions. Depending on requirements, the discs are made from heat-treated steel, sinter-coated or friction-lined.
Typical applications include: gear boxes (all types), main drives and positioners, Power Take Off (PTO) or winches.
In general, brakes are used to hold and decelerate loads in drive systems. Spring-actuated designs are featured prominently in safety brake application, due to the protection they offer against power supply breakdown and owing to their extremely short break closing time.
Typical applications are: lifting systems, positioners and machine tools.
We are able to replace all former ZF types. The types illustrated are an excerpt from the complete program.
For the determination of the correct replacement type we only need the type designation, as well as the bore diameter and the keyway dimensions.
Single-face clutches are suited for efficient power transmission in mechanical engineering applications. Their range of application extends from the actuation of drives in equipment operating under varying loads to the accurate control of work cycles requiring high actuating frequency.
The program comprises maintenance-free pole-face friction clutches and designs for high-duty operation with adjustable air gap as well as various different special solutions. Particularly suitable for operation with combustion engines.
Discs made of steel and combined with friction linings in different designs and variants are important components in clutches and brakes. The quality and dimensioning has significant influence on the function and lifetime. Depending on the combination of materials, the discs are suitable for oil- as well as dry-running applications.
